Google has admitted that it committed a mistake by wrongly depicting certain parts of north-east India's Arunachal Pradesh as Chinese territory, and promised to correct the maps soon.According to a statement by a Google spokesperson, "Earlier this week, as part of routine update to Google Earth, we published new data for the Arunachal Pradesh region that changed the depiction of certain place names in the product. The change was a result of a mistake in our processing of new map data."

There was speculation in media circles that Chinese hackers had attacked Google Earth which led to the wrong depiction of Indian territory as Chinese in the maps on google Earth. "We would like to clarify that this issue did not impact our depiction of international borders," the Google spokesperson said.Google Earth is a service offered by Google that lets users to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings.Google Earth had earlier been in the center of another controversy when Indian security agencies had complained that Google Earth exposed Indian defense and other sensitive installations.

Experts say the ruling by the Delhi high court is expected to make it easier for health authorities to reach out to men who have sex with other men (MSM). The final release date of Ram Charan Teja’s second movie Magadheera is fixed as 22nd July 2009. The music composed by MM Keeravani will be launched at a function organized in Shilpa Kala Vedika on the night of 28 June. Kajal Agarwal plays female lead. Srihari did a vital role. Tata Motors has selected over 1.55 lakh customers for its small car 'Nano' the delivery of which will start from July this year. The company would deliver the first 1 lakh cars by March 2010, while the handing over of the vehicle in the next phase to 55,021 customers would start thereafter.

"Tata Motors is pleased to announce that it has completed the process to select the first 1,00,000 owners of the Tata Nano from among 2,06,703 final list of applicants, who had booked the car," the company said in a statement.

The company has also completed the selection process for the second phase by allotting slots to 55,021 customers. The booking amount for the car was Rs 95,000 for the base model, Rs 1.2 lakh for the mid-range model and Rs 1.4 lakh for the top-end. "The retainees would be offered 8.5 per cent interest on the booking amount if the car is delivered within two years from the date of allotment and 8.75 per cent if the car is delivered after two years from the date. The interest will be paid directly to the retainees by the company," Tata Motors said.

Like every year, this year too our fathers will be in the limelight of love and affection today. The United States and Britain have made a joint call for an immediate end to hostilities in Sri Lanka and the evacuation of civilians from the last remaining stronghold of the Tamil Tiger rebels. "Getting to this point has been challenging but your team, the whole team, everyone has pulled together. We're taking a little piece of all us into space. The virus poses a potentially grave new threat to the US economy, which was showing tentative early signs of a recovery. A widespread outbreak could batter tourism, food and transportation industries, deepening the recession in the US and possibly worldwide.

The suspected number of deaths rose to 149 in Mexico, the epicentre of the outbreak with nearly 2,000 people believed to be infected.

The number of US cases rose to 48, the result of further testing at a New York City school, although none was fatal. Other US cases have been reported in Ohio, Kansas, Texas and California. Worldwide there were 77 cases, including six in Canada, one in Spain and two in Scotland.

The World Health Organization reported a slightly lower figure, 73. The WHO said it was still awaiting official reports from the UK about the Scottish cases, and it was reporting different numbers in the US (40) and Mexico (26) from what those governments confirmed.
