The Central Industrial Security Force Project Is Provided With India's Second Largest Outsourcer Infosys Technologies.....

India's second largest outsourcer, Infosys Technologies will get security cover from the Indian government's Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) starting Friday, in view of the perceived terrorist threat to Indian outsourcing companies. The CISF will be deployed at the Infosys campus in Bangalore from Friday, a spokeswoman for the company said on Thursday. The security cover will for now include only the Bangalore facility of Infosys which also houses the company's headquarters.
The CISF was until recently assigned to protect Indian government installations like nuclear reactors, oil fields, and airports. The government however decided earlier this year, at the request of private companies, to extend the service to private companies for a fee.Concern about terrorism has increased after attacks in November last year in Mumbai, which included upmarket hotels as targets. Some terrorists arrested by the police earlier had said that outsourcing companies were on their list of targets.
