The Common admission Test is being held for the past 33 years to select suitable students for the IIMs. Though the patter has changed with time, the exam was always scheduled on a one session and one day basis.This had never changed till the CAT exams were decided to go online. The computerized tests would mean every student is given with a computer to appear the tests.This is the reason why the higher authorities who conduct the exams have decided to go for a 10 day long schedule with two test sessions in a day.

The CAT tests are scheduled to be held from 28th November to 7th December. The students who have applied this year get the freedom to choose test session, i.e., morning or evening and test center and date as well but this will again be subject to center availability.This year 3 lakh students are expected to apply. The vouchers would be sold from 9th September to October 1st as well as the online registration.
